Maggie Grace is an American actor who was born Margaret Grace Denig in 1983. Her most famous roles include Shannon Rutherford, a character in ABC's Lost series and Kim Mills from the Taken trilogy. Her parents had divorced and they moved together with their mother into Los Angeles. The year 2001 was a difficult one for her, but despite difficulties with money, she was able get her first significant performance in the video online show Rachel's Room playing the main character. The television film Murder in Greenwich where she played a 15-year-old Martha Moxley earned her the nomination for the Young Artist Award. Grace Rutherford, a character she played in Lost from 2004 to 2005 was nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace decided to leave the series to concentrate on her professional film work. She had starred alongside Tom Welling opposite in The Fog earlier in the year 2005. The actress starred in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club in both 2007 as well as Taken (2008) alongside Liam Neeson. Her role was reprised for Taken 2 (2011) and Taken 3 (2013).She also played Alice in Malice in Wonderland, a modern adaptation of the Lewis Carroll novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace returned to her role as Shannon in Lost, including the finale. In 2013 she appears in Season 6 of Californication. She plays Faith as a female groupie and is also a model the stars. She's a Gyllenhaal, the daughter of Stephen Gyllenhaal (director) and Naomi Achs (producer), as well as more senior than Jake Gyllenhaal. When she was in her teens she appeared in small roles in her father's movies and was co-starring with her sister in Donnie Darko the popular cult movie.
