Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew up in Mexico in a family who loved music. Her early years were spent listening to traditional music, old boleros, and the traditional romantic and ranchero ballads. Ana enjoys tangos operas and other theatrical performances. When she was a child, her mother would sing with her, she started more serious training in vocals at age 16 under the tutelage by renowned Mexican tenor FlavioBecerra. She continued her musical training at the School of Music of Guadalajara University, then at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. As a student and young professional, she sang with numerous chamber ensembles and opera choruses in Guadalajara as well as Mexico City. When she moved into California in United States in 2000, she sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before making the move to her current place in southern California. She has performed solo Latin American music for private events and also as part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. As a musician and teacher Ana is a dedicated participant in numerous community projects because of her love and enthusiasm for music. Ana is also a past participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana enjoys singing classic Latin American songs and hopes that she can inspire others to do the same.
