MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. He's made major inroads globally to Latin pop. Una Lady Como Tu from 2016 was awarded an Colombian Kids Choice Award as the most popular Song in 2017. His debut album ADN was released by La Industria Inc., an Medellin-based Sony distribution company. The album reached number 8 within the Top Latin Albums Chart. Vaina Loca was one of the Top Five hit for Ozuna and him the year after. He released Dopamina which was his top charting sophomore album in the years following. In 2021, he sang the duet to TINI's smash single Maldita Foto. The hit single La Bachata from 2000 was published in 2023. Turizo was born into the musical home of his family. Both his elder brother and mom are also musicians. In his interviews, he said music participation as mandatory. He learned how to play the guitar, saxophone Ukulele, and piano while a young child. He initially wanted to be Veterinarian, however after his brother Julian was convinced to let him attend lessons with a Cuban singer, he altered his career plans.
