Rosalia
Rosalia Vila is an Spanish flamenco singer and pop artist. Since her teen years she has been at the edges of both popular and traditional music. In addition, she is a pioneer in the realms of hip-hop, trap, and soul. Pepe Haichuela, flamenco guitarist and famous musician has described the sound of the new artist as sassy and sweet and grit. El Mal Querer, her follow-up album to Los Angeles in 2017, was both a critical and commercial success. It was a top hit on Billboard's Latin Pop Albums Chart and was awarded an Grammy. La Fama, featuring The Weeknd, was released in 2021. Motomami is her 3rd full-length album. It featured songs written in collaboration with other performers and producers like Cory Henry. The album came out in 2022 because of a Saturday Night Live appearance by Rosalia, the vocalist of Chicken Teriyaki. Rosalia was the first Spanish solo artist to perform on the show on Saturday Night Live. In addition to winning three more Latin Grammy Awards for Motomami Rosalia also became the first woman to win this award twice. Latin Album of the Year twice.
